Research Study: HRT, Memory & Thinking

About to start taking HRT? You could take part in a research study.

Researchers at Brighton & Sussex Medical School are investigating whether Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for menopause can benefit memory and thinking (cognition), and whether this differs depending on certain genes.

They are looking for women aged 40–60 who are about to start HRT but have not yet started, are experiencing a natural menopause, and have access to a laptop or computer. Participants can be based anywhere in the UK.

What would you need to do?

You would complete online questionnaires and cognitive tasks (approximately 1 hour) at three time points:

  • Before starting HRT
  • 3 months after starting HRT
  • 9 months after starting HRT

You would also be asked to provide a saliva sample using an inner-cheek swab.

Participants will receive a £20 voucher.
